Cloud PBX & VoIP in Auckland

Move your business off ageing phone lines and onto a hosted system, with porting and cutover handled by a team based in East Tāmaki.

  • Head office at 30B Allens Road, East Tāmaki
  • 09 and 0800 number porting managed end to end
  • On-site cutover help across greater Auckland
  • One NZ dealer desk for fibre and mobile

Solution Squad provides cloud PBX and VoIP phone systems to Auckland businesses, with number porting, on-site cutover help and ongoing support run from our head office in East Tāmaki. We supply the handsets, port your existing 09 and 0800 numbers, and can pair the system with One NZ fibre or mobile through the dealer desk in the same building. Most day-to-day changes are handled remotely, so nobody has to cross town just to add a new extension.

Run from Allens Road, not from a call centre

Our phone system work is based at 30B Allens Road in East Tāmaki, with off-street parking if you'd rather talk through handsets and call flows across a desk than over the phone. Bring in your current phone bill and we'll map what you're paying for against what a hosted system would actually cost — details of the building and who works there are on our Auckland office page.

The system itself is the same NZ-hosted Cloud PBX we run for clients nationwide: auto attendants, call queues, voicemail to email and mobile apps, administered through a web portal. That matters in Auckland for a blunt reason — traffic. A new starter, a changed after-hours greeting or a public-holiday divert shouldn't wait for a technician to fight their way down the Southern Motorway, so we make those changes remotely, often while you're still on the line to us.

Number porting and the cutover day itself

Most businesses that call us have numbers they can't afford to lose — an 09 number painted on the vans, an 0800 printed on every invoice. We manage the port from your current provider end to end: the paperwork, the dates, and keeping your old lines live until the new system has carried real calls. You choose the cutover window; for most firms that's a quiet weekday morning rather than a Friday afternoon.

Where the cutover involves physical work — new handsets on desks, a router swap, paging or a door phone — we put an engineer on site. From East Tāmaki that's a short run to Botany, Highbrook, the airport corridor and most of South Auckland, and a planned visit for the CBD, the North Shore, Pukekohe or Kumeū. If you want to understand the mechanics before committing, our guide on migrating from a traditional PBX walks through them; the short version is that the risky steps are exactly the ones we take off your plate.

Phones and connectivity ordered together

A VoIP call is only as good as the connection under it, which is why we'd rather quote the two together than bolt a phone system onto a line we've never seen. As a One NZ dealer with the dealer desk in the same Allens Road office, we can order business fibre or wireless broadband alongside your Cloud PBX, configure the router so voice traffic gets priority, and sequence the install so the connection is proven before your numbers move.

The same desk handles mobile. For trades, couriers and reps who spend more of the day on the motorway than at a desk, the PBX mobile app puts their work number on the phone already in their pocket — and if the mobile plans should shift to One NZ at the same time, that becomes one conversation instead of three suppliers pointing at each other.

One system across scattered Auckland sites

Auckland businesses spread out: a front office in the CBD, a warehouse in Wiri, a branch in Albany. A cloud PBX treats them as one phone system — reception in town transfers a caller to dispatch in the warehouse as if they sat on the same floor, and everyone can see who's already on a call before they try. Open a Hamilton branch later and it joins the same system, supported from our Victoria Street office.

If your current phone contract is coming up for renewal, that's the natural time to talk. Call the Auckland office on 09 302 7771 or 0800 900 777, or book a time and we'll start with what your current setup costs and which numbers have to survive the move.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to port Auckland numbers across to your Cloud PBX?

It depends on your current provider and how many numbers you hold, but straightforward ports of standard 09 and 0800 numbers are usually a matter of weeks rather than months. We confirm the date once the losing carrier accepts the request, and your existing lines keep working right up to the switch, so there is no gap in service.

Will an engineer be on site in Auckland for our cutover day?

Yes, where the cutover involves physical work — new handsets, a router change or tidying wiring — we schedule an engineer from East Tāmaki to be there when the numbers move. For simple switches using softphones only, we run the cutover remotely and stay on the line while your team makes and receives test calls.

Can one Cloud PBX cover our Botany office and our warehouse in Wiri?

Yes. Sites are simply locations on the same hosted system, so both share one number range, one auto attendant and free internal transfers. Each site does need a reliable connection — we can check what's available at both addresses and, as a One NZ dealer, arrange fibre or wireless broadband where either falls short.

We're opening a new Auckland site — can the internet and phones be ready on day one?

That's the ideal way to do it. Give us the address and your move date and we'll order the connection first, since fibre installs carry the longest lead time, then deliver and test handsets once it's live. Ordering both through us means one schedule to manage instead of chasing separate providers.
