Solution Squad provides cyber security for Auckland businesses from our head office at 30B Allens Road, East Tāmaki — layered protection, monitoring, staff awareness training and incident response under one agreement. It is the service everything else we do is built around, and Auckland is where most of that work happens. Whether you run a warehouse in Botany, a practice in the CBD or a trades crew out of Pukekohe, the starting point is the same: an honest look at where your current defences stand.
Our flagship service, run from East Tāmaki
Cyber security is the service the rest of our work hangs off. Every network we install, every Microsoft 365 tenancy we manage and every server we look after is treated as something an attacker will eventually probe — so the defences go in first, not after an incident forces the issue.
For Auckland businesses that means protection layered across four fronts: the network perimeter, with business-grade firewalls and properly segmented Wi-Fi; the laptops, desktops and phones your staff use every day; the identities they sign in with, protected by multi-factor authentication and sensible access rules; and the data itself, encrypted and backed up so ransomware has nothing to hold hostage. As a Microsoft Partner and CSP, we build much of this inside Microsoft 365 security tooling many businesses already pay for without switching on. The full breakdown of what sits in each layer is on our cyber security service page — this page covers how we deliver it across Auckland.
On-site across greater Auckland, remote-first by design
Monitoring and most day-to-day security work happens remotely from East Tāmaki, and anyone who has sat on the Southern Motorway at 4pm knows why. Alert triage, patching, phishing investigations and account lockdowns should never wait for a van to cross the Harbour Bridge — and with the right tooling in place, they don't have to.
When the work genuinely needs hands on hardware — a firewall installation, a network segmentation project, a walk-through of your premises as part of a security assessment — we come to you. From Allens Road we regularly work on-site in the CBD, across East and South Auckland, on the North Shore, and out to Pukekohe and Kumeū. You are also welcome to come to us: there is off-street parking at the office, and the engineers you would meet are the same people watching the monitoring queue. Directions and visiting details are on our Auckland office page.
Security for Auckland's mix of industries
East Tāmaki and Botany are surrounded by exactly the kinds of businesses we secure: logistics operators with dispatch systems and shared warehouse PCs, trades firms running job management from utes and phones, and professional services practices holding client files that must stay confidential. Each has a different weak point. For a freight company it is often the unpatched computer everyone on the floor shares; for an accountancy firm it is a convincing invoice-fraud email landing in a busy inbox.
That is why staff awareness sits alongside the technical layers rather than behind them. We run phishing simulations and short, plain-English training sessions — at your premises or over Teams — so the person who receives the dodgy email is the person who spots it. Technology catches most attacks; trained people catch the rest.
When something goes wrong
Incident response is part of the service, not an optional extra. For managed clients, support runs 24/7, and a suspected ransomware infection in the middle of the night gets a human response. Containment starts remotely — isolating machines, revoking sessions, locking accounts — with on-site follow-up from East Tāmaki once the immediate spread is stopped, because in a live incident the first hour matters far more than the drive time.
If you are not yet a client and you are reading this mid-incident, call 09 302 7771 anyway and we will tell you honestly what we can do at short notice. If you would rather never be in that position, book a conversation through our contact page and we will start with a plain-language review of where your defences actually stand.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Can you assess the security of our East Tāmaki or Botany premises in person?
Yes — our head office is on Allens Road, so East Tāmaki, Botany and the surrounding commercial precinct are the easiest visits we make. An assessment usually starts with a walk-through of your site and a review of the network, devices and Microsoft 365 setup, followed by a written summary of what we would fix first.
If we have a security incident on the North Shore, do we wait for someone to drive over?
No. Containment happens remotely first — isolating infected machines, locking compromised accounts and revoking sign-in sessions — which matters far more in the first hour than a physical visit does. Once the spread is stopped, we schedule on-site work if hardware needs attention. Auckland traffic should never be part of your incident timeline, so we have built the service so it is not.
We're a five-person trades business in South Auckland — is layered security overkill?
No, but it scales down. A small firm does not need everything a corporate runs; it needs a business-grade firewall, protected devices, multi-factor authentication and working backups — plus staff who can spot a fake invoice. We size the layers to your risk and budget, and much of it lives inside Microsoft 365 licences you may already own.
Can you run security awareness training at our Auckland premises rather than online?
Yes. For Auckland businesses we deliver short sessions at your site — many clients attach one to an existing team meeting — or over Teams if your people are spread across locations. Sessions are plain-English and specific to your industry, and we usually pair them with periodic phishing simulations so you can see whether the training is sticking.
